METROPOLIS (1927) - FESTIVAL LUMIÈRE AND THE ORCHESTRE NATIONAL DE LYON ANNOUNCE THE WORLD PREMIERE OF A NEW SCORE BY DON DAVIS
Don Davis will conduct the world premiere of his new score for Fritz Lang’s silent-film masterpiece Metropolis (1927) on October 15th, 2026, at the Auditorium de Lyon in France. The performance, presented as part of the Festival Lumière, will feature the Orchestre national de Lyon.
The Lumière Festival and the Auditorium—Lyon National Orchestra, together with the Europäische FilmPhilharmonie, are kicking off the centennial celebration of this masterpiece with a special film-concert event and a new, previously unpublished score.
